Designer Andrea Schoellgen’s concept proposes an upgrade to the Schwebebahn suspended monorail in Wuppertal, Germany. The designer proposes ideas to make the commute more attractive, comfortable, and useful for the passengers. A multifunctional compartment in the middle will have stroller spaces, lean elements and an open space with information screens. Commuters probably will be able to get real-time travel information from this screen, including routes and times. Colored handrails and light-up stripes for the doors will make it much easier for passengers to access the rail. More images after the jump.
